The heart’s working of blood vessels can be determined with the Stress Echo Test. It is also known as Stress Echocardiography, in which you’re expected to stand on a treadmill or a stationary bike, during which the doctors will check your BP & rhythm. What Preparations to Make Before Echocardiography?
The test is usually performed in an Echocardiography lab, also known as the Echo lab. The doctor can carry out this test in his office. The test duration is between 45-60 minutes. You’re expected to take care of the following things before the test:
- Ensure that you don’t have meals or drink anything before the test
- Avoid smoking as Nicotine might become an impediment in the test
- Avoid coffee or taking any medicines that include Caffeine
- Ensure that you have a word with the doctor in advance while taking medicines on the test day
- You must wear loose-fitting clothes with good walking & running shoes.
